
Kimichi fried rice topped with a fried egg – a soul satisfying bowl of comfort food! Kimchi fried rice or kimchi-bokkeum-bap is a variety of bokkeum-bap, a popular dish in South Korea. This kimchi fried rice is made with gochujang paste from @rolandfoods. This Gochujang Paste is grown and imported from South Korea. It is similar to miso paste with a strong umami flavor and the addition of fiery chilies. Ingredients:
Day old white rice – 4 cups cooked
Sesame oil – 2 tsp
Garlic cloves- 2 finely chopped
Roland foods gochujang – 1-2 tbsp
Kimchi – 1 cup (store bought packed and strained completely)
Kimchi juice- 3 tbsp from the kimchi above
For serving
Fried eggs – 3
Black sesame seeds for sprinkling

Method:
Strain the Kimchi completely from its juices and set aside the strained kimchi and kimchi juice separately.
In a wok heat the sesame oil, add the garlic cloves, and sauté for a min. Add the strained kimchi and sauté for a minute till the moisture evaporates. Add the cooked rice, and Gochujang, and stir well. Finally, add the Kimchi juice and mix well. Serve hot topped with a fried egg and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
